P(A)T, as a non-profit making charitable organization, greatly appreciates collaborations with other public or private entities with a similar area of action. Thus, the relationship with several departments of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Traffic Department of the Spanish State, the Federation of Driving Schools, associations of mutual drivers, OCUC, RACC, and so on, is very close.

With these entities, determined and specific collaboration agreements have been established.

The directors of P(A)T form part of various government agencies such as:
The Council and Pact for Municipal Mobility of Traffic and Road Safety in Barcelona (Parés and Thorson). Bureau of the Pact of Mobility for Terrassa, Sabadell and Mataró (Thorson). President of the Federation of Classic Cars (Ballester), the Association of Transport of Dangerous Goods (Domenech), the Highways Technical Association, the Spanish Committee of A.I.P.C.R. (Parés), the European Council of Transport Security (ETSC) (Thorson).


ENTITIES


Since 1990, P(A)T is an associate member of the Prevention Routière International (PRI).

The PRI is a non-governmental organization, founded in 1959, which deals with road safety worldwide. It is represented in fifty countries and has its headquarters in Lisbon. The PRI has a consultative status with respect to the United Nations, the European Council and the European Conference of Transport Ministers.

P(A)T, since its full entry in Prevention Routière International, has participated in its annual international meetings (in even years, the meetings have a Congress status), with the presence of one or more of P(A)T's directors in these events ( Lomé'91, Istambul'92, Lisbon'93, Reikiavik'95, Tunisia'99 and Madrid 2002).

Member of F.E.V.R. (European Federation of Road Victims).

FEVR is a nongovernmental organization (recognized by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations) formed by European associations of victims and families of people killed or injured in traffic accidents.

Founding member of the Catalan Foundation for Road Safety. The foundation began its work in 2002 with the participation of the following entities:

  • Assistance Club
  • UCEAC
  • Drivers Montepio Manresa
  • Catalonian Federation of Driving Schools
  • Federation of Medical Test Centers
  • PAT Spanish Association of Traffic Accident Prevention


The objectives of the association are:
Carry out work and studies on accident prevention, as well as knowledge of its causes. Collaboration with institutions and administrations, the study of the consequences of accidents, and especially to augment awareness in the Catalan society, as a preventive measure for road safety.
